The IVy Awards Are Back

Did you ever watch the Emmys or the Golden Globes (or how the Golden Globes would’ve turned out) and think, “My favorite show got ROBBED!”? Well, now’s the time to put your votes where your mouth is.

The IVy Awards, the TV IV’s own awards for the best of television, are back. And this time, every reader of the TV IV or this blog can vote on the outcome.

There are three stages to the process: The nomination proposal stage, the nomination stage and the winners voting stage. To receive a nomination, all possible candidates must be proposed in the nomination proposal stage, so be sure to propose your favorite TV shows, actors and episodes now. Feel free to argue for or against whomever you like.

Then on February 8th, the voting will open for the final five nominees in each category. This year, there will be two voting processes: One for administrators and the 30 top editors of the site, and one “reader’s choice” for everybody. Yes, even you.

Please note that from now on, the IVy Awards voting will take place in January, so all shows which have aired since June 2006 are eligible. So was something overlooked last year? Propose it!

Look here for more information throughout January and February, and best of luck to your favorite shows.

Journeyman without a doubt deserves to win an IVy award for Best Drama! Don’t let the title or the fact that time traveling is involved fool you!

If I could only watch one program on television, it would absolutely be Journeyman. It’s awesome. And it’s adicting. The more you watch, the better it gets. I admit it, I am hooked! Do all you can to help promote the show and then PRAY! NBC has got to keep this show.

SAVE JOURNEYMAN!! I hope that people who do make this decision have the guts to stick with a show. Canceling and bringing back shows that are bad season after season will not help NBC grow. Keep with this show and watch viewership grow. Promote it like Chuck and Heroes and you will see the benefits.

Journeyman was by far the best show of the season! It was a show that made you think for a change instead of the normal stab your eyes out reality shows. We love Journeyman and want to see it return! Please join the fight to save Journeyman!

    Leave the light on!!

Journeyman is the best show to come out this season. Not bringing it back will be remembered as one of those true crimes in television history. I made it a point to watch this show every Monday and now I have nothing. There is a void on Mondays for me now.

    BRING IT BACK!!!!

I was absolutely amazed when I caught the first Journeyman, and was hooked. The time slot was bad for me but on my first day off the first thing I did was get a cup of coffee and watch Journeyman on NBC.com. I was convinced this was going to be a big hit, not even Heroes could compare! Then all this talk about canceling it!! You have got to be kidding! The best new series since Star Gate SG1 and NBC is canceling it? Wake up and smell the coffee NBC you have a hit here! SHOW SOME INTELLIGENCE AND BRING BACK JOURNEYMAN!

When I first started watching Journeyman I was amazed! Finally, an intelligent show that made you think. I was shocked to hear that it was going away. Come on NBC, trust that your viewers are intelligent people who want to be challenged AND entertained. BRING BACK JOURNEYMAN!!!!

JOURNEYMAN arrived in France, and I got hooked up at the end of the 1st episodes. Finally Sci fi with good drama inside. I was too amazed and very happy. But I found a week later after getting news about the show that it had been canceled. WHAT A SHAME!!!!
What’s the purpose of giving good stories and then cut it right in the middle of characters evolution. It’s sooo frustrating!!!!
I wish nbc and all big studios will listen more to the viewers than their money. Entertainment it’s not only people trying to become singers or whatever but good strong stories like JOURNEYMAN!!!
